Title: Software Design Engineer in Test III (SDE/T III) Job Description: Play a key role in the testing of development and implementation of complex software applications. Develop effective automation tools for performance and stress testing. Develop test plans and test cases, generate test scripts, execute tests, perform analysis, and document results.
Work collaboratively with developers to explain issues identified and to define acceptable resolutions. Responsibilities: Designs and develops test procedures and cases based upon requirements for Performance and stress testing. Designs, develops, and executes reusable and maintainable automated scripts.
Reports results to management and the customer in a scheduled, timely manner. Ability to handle/organize multiple complex technical projects simultaneously. Able to remain abreast of the latest test tool capabilities.
Ability to work both independently and collectively in a team environment. Required: Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in software development and automated test development is required using C#/.Net.
At least 1 year of experience in conducting performance/stress assessments and designing and executing automated tests for performance and stress testing. Experience in relational databases and writing SQL statements Strong understanding of testing methodologies and processes Strong analytical and complex problem solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to details, ability to think “outside the box”, and strong drive for results.
Need to have some experience with setting up machines and understanding Network Topology . Should be willing to travel occasionally (every 3 months or so if need be). Soft Skills Preferred (Personality, etc) MS SharePoint experience Good Customer facing skills Excellent writing and organizational skills.
