, which is active in 13 Sacramento communities, has merged with Taylor Woodrow. The parent companies of the two firms, George Wimpey PLC and Taylor Woodrow PLC, both based in the United Kingdom, merged on Friday to created Taylor Wimpey PLC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The new company will be based in Bradenton, Fla., which has been the home of Taylor Woodrow. It will operate in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Texas and Canada.
Both companies report having sold 4,000 homes in 2006.
